There is space for 12 competitors and 40 spectators to enjoy the atmosphere and the thrill of the competition. The event is provided to you free of charge by Nordcloud. We also offer beverages and cocktail bites to keep your appetite satisfied.
Code in the Dark competition finalists can expect prizes. The ultimate competition winner gets to choose their preferred high-value prize, including options like Steam Deck or Playstation 5.

The Competition
Code in the Dark is an exciting coding competition that puts your skills to the test. Each competitor uses their own chosen and prepared code editor on their laptop. These talented programmers showcase their ability to implement a website design given only a screenshot.
But here's the catch - no previews of the results are allowed during the implementation, and no measuring tools can be used. The competitor's screen is displayed to the audience during the competition, allowing them to follow along. The competitor is not allowed to leave their chosen code editor during the task.
- The competition begins when the task is shown to the competitors. If desired, competitors can use the provided template as a starting point.
- The page is developed solely using the competitor's HTML and CSS skills, the provided template, and their code editor. Looking up online resources or using internet searches is not allowed.
- After the allotted time, each competitor presents the result of their task to the audience, who then vote to determine the winner of the round.

Event schedule.
5:00 PM: The doors of Ilokivi Venue open. This is when competitors should arrive in order to test their setup.
6:00 PM: The first round begins!
9:00 PM: The grand finale will conclude around this hour.
After the competition, the Ilokivi Venue bar will serve refreshments, and there will be opportunities for socializing and enjoying great music until 11:00 PM.
